Specialized Lactation Support for NICU Families
Nurturing connection, confidence, and calm through every step of your NICU feeding journey.
Gentle guidance from someone who’s been there.
When your baby’s first days are spent in the NICU, the path into parenthood looks different. Feeding goals may shift, progress may feel uncertain, and it’s easy to feel disconnected in a world of monitors, schedules, and medical terms.
As a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Birth Doula, and Registered Kangaroula I bring professional knowledge and heartfelt understanding to every family I support — but my connection to NICU families runs even deeper. My own son arrived at 34 weeks, and I vividly remember the mix of love, fear, and fierce determination that comes with having your baby in the NICU.
That experience shaped how I practice today. It taught me that every drop of milk matters, that connection can grow even through an isolette wall, and that parents in the NICU need just as much care as their babies do.
How I can support your NICU journey.
Whether your baby is still in the hospital or newly home, I offer specialized lactation care that honors your unique situation:
Milk Supply & Pumping Guidance – Personalized support to establish and maintain your milk supply while separated from your baby.
Flange Fitting & Pump Optimization – Making sure your equipment works for you, not against you.
NICU-Friendly Feeding Plans – Step-by-step guidance for transitioning from tube or bottle feeding to at-breast feeding when ready.
Skin-to-Skin & Kangaroo Care Support – Gentle guidance on how to safely and confidently practice skin-to-skin contact in the NICU setting. This vital bonding time helps regulate your baby’s temperature, heart rate, and breathing, while boosting milk supply and deepening your emotional connection.
Emotional Support & Advocacy – Navigating NICU routines with compassion and clarity, so you can feel confident in your feeding journey.
Home Transition Visits – Continued lactation support once you’re home, helping you and your baby find your rhythm together.
You don’t have to figure it out alone.
You deserve care that meets you where you are — in every latch, every drop collected, every small victory celebrated.
If your baby is in the NICU or was recently discharged, I’d be honored to walk beside you and help you create a feeding plan that supports both your goals and your emotional well-being.
